Ok,so after a long list of recommends and the gaining popularity of the franchise,I get into twilight a few months back prior to the release of new moon.I also buy the whole set of books after all that I have heard.At this point I have almost finished the 3rd book and watched both the movies twilight and new moon.

The novels in my opinion arnt bad,the first is really good.But all in all I dont see the best seller material in there.So support my statements this is what I say

Personally Im not into romance novels so I dunno if ts the best to offer that makes it so popular.I agree to the fact that all the novels iv read are good page turners,probably something you can read with using minimum brain power and for a long time.But I dont see whats the craze about them.You'd just want a plain old story but these vampires have been stuck in everywhere,all novels in general have some real unwanted seriousness to keep the reader stuck in and some of the stupidest climaxes iv ever seen (consult new moon novel).All in all I feel if your the lover-emo type this is the novel for you,but you can bet your money youll get bored of it.The story digs in less in the history and more in some weird wars are treaties the origins of which have not been given much emphasis.Almost everything from kissing to having sexual intercourse has been hinted in the series and all I can say is the main character bella is a total [insert bad word here].I see that mayer has tried to create a more modern version of mythological creatures which is good,but actually not enough to do justice to them.Even though noone has seen vampires or werewolf's the story defies almost all myths and sayings that even make the creature mythical (crosses or sunlight hurting vampires or werewolf's only transforming in full moon).
Its bad to compare novels of different generes with one another,but if you find a twilight in the bookstore just grab a angels and demons instead.


That done I would like to know your fair and honest opinions on what you like about twilight,movies and novel alike.

never read the book, saw the first one with my girlfriend so i can only talk about the first movie, but it was pretty terrible. Turning classic monsters such as vampires into pretty boys was my first problem, second the story appears to be deep but it really is. It falls into the typical archetypes of a romance story.

so it sucked imo of course

Can't watch more than 20 mins of it,but I actually liked the fights ( Rare short fights ) and the baseball game was good

I was tricked into seeing the first movie so basically i walked in unbiased and i walk out going wtf that movie sucked

I can deal with reading HP, watching it is equivalent to shooting myself in the head for 3 straight hours
